Youth Advanced Hockey Classes

For youth hockey players ages 4 to 17 who have taken the Beginner Hockey Class, this curriculum focuses on advancing skill development for players still new to the game.

The Advanced Curriculum
If you’ve completed both the Beginner and Intermediate curriculums, you may be in need of the Youth Advanced Curriculum, depending on your age. This challenging yet incredibly enjoyable curriculum focuses on teaching players how to play the game of hockey and complete challenging skating moves such as cross-overs. Expect engaging 1v1 and 2v2 activities that encourage kids to play with and against each other.

All Returning participants of Youth Hockey Classes to Hockey MUST have a valid USA Hockey Membership number. You can register for a USA Hockey Membership number at https://membership.usahockey.com/.

All coaches are USA Hockey registered/certified coaches.

AT A GLANCE

Advanced Objectives

  • Able to Stop and change direction in two movements
  • Able to Cross Over
  • Able to play in 2 on 2 situations, making passes with a teammate

Requirements for Class

 USA Hockey Member number- This number is required for insurance and waiver purposes and helps fund coaching education around the country. This number can be purchased Here.

Do I need to bring anything else?
For many players in the area, they are the only one of their friends outside of the rink who plays hockey. For anyone starting a new sport, doing so with a friend drastically improves the experience and encourages them to stick with whatever new activity they are trying.
