Youth Intro to Hockey Classes- Intermediate

For youth hockey players ages 4 to 17 who have taken the Beginner Hockey Class, this curriculum focuses on advancing skill development for players still new to the game.

The Advanced Curriculum
After successfully completing the Youth Beginner class, you’ll progress to the Youth Intermediate class. In this next level, we delve into hockey techniques, covering everything from passing and shooting to stickhandling and age-specific body contact. The goal is to prepare you for more advanced levels of hockey. ​

Intermediate Objectives

Discover the fundamental techniques of hockey,
  • Navigate Over and Around Obstacles using turns and stops
  • Able to skate, handle puck, and make a pass in one motion
  • Able to compete in 1 on 1 situations

Requirements for Class

 USA Hockey Member number- This number is required for insurance and waiver purposes and helps fund coaching education around the country. This number can be purchased Here.

Do I need to bring anything else?
For many players in the area, they are the only one of their friends outside of the rink who plays hockey. For anyone starting a new sport, doing so with a friend drastically improves the experience and encourages them to stick with whatever new activity they are trying. 

We would ask that if you have a friend or relative who might like to give our sport a try, please feel free to share the information here with anyone who you think may want to hop on the ice with us.
