Learn To SkateLearn To Skate USA is structured to help you learn everything from skating's fundamentals all the way to advanced skills, with every class emphasizing mastery of technical elements.
Students age 4 through Adult are welcome! Gain a life long joy for skating, aspire to be an Olympian, polish your performance technique, or gain the foundational skills to play hockey. All skating session include 30 minutes of class instruction with additional practice time. Saturday Overlap: 11:00 – 11:15 AM Benefits to Advanced class This class has more advanced students who need more space to gain speed and to practice & perform jumps, spins, and other moves. This session has fewer skaters and is less congested. Benefits to Beginner class This class is made up mainly of young and beginning skaters who need more time to get organized and transition onto the ice to be ready for the lesson. The extra ice time helps create a smooth transition. START TIME: Classes start after the end of the morning Freestyle Session. Freestyle sessions are $11 for Learn-To-Skate-students and Club Members. This session is generally for skaters that want to practice their jumps, spins, practice for testing or competitions, etc. This is not a session for beginners. PLACEMENT: Each student will be evaluated for level placement and classes may be combined to optimize participation. LATE ENROLLMENT: Late registrants may receive pro-rated pricing through the 3rd week of class. Email sk8eugene@gmail.com for registration, pricing and payment information. The skate rental portion of the class price does not receive pro-rated pricing. MISSED CLASSES: One make-up class will be allowed, otherwise NO refunds for missed classes. Oregon Skating Council (OSC) is a United States Figure Skating Interclub Association composed of USFS member skating clubs with their principle skating headquarters in Oregon, Southwest Washington and the northern parts of California and Nevada. The mission of the Oregon Skating Council is to promote the sport of figure skating on ice in Oregon. Please read through the information on this page before enrolling in class. “Learn-to-Skate” is our group lesson program for ages 4 through Adult. Our past students include people of all ages who simply want to skate for the joy of it, young skaters who aspire to be an Olympian or even anyone wanting to learn basic skating skills to move on into learning to play hockey.
