Time and time again, the Eugene hockey community has shown a tremendous capacity for kindness and generosity. Once again, that kindness and generosity will be put on full display as The Rink Exchange prepares to start their new operational year by welcoming Ice hockey In Harlem.
Founded in 1987, the mission of Ice Hockey In Harlem is to improve the social and academic well being of children from the Harlem community. Their organization offers programming that allows children in our community to take advantage of the educational and athletic opportunities provided by youth sports.
Through participation in ice hockey, IHIH student-athletes learn the fundamentals of the game, engage in an active lifestyle and broaden their life experiences. Most importantly, IHIH strives to improve the social and academic well being of children from the Harlem community. They accomplish this mission by offering free hockey and educational programming to over 200 low-income children from Harlem each season.

For nearly three decades, Ice Hockey In Harlem has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children over the past 28 years. Brian Duggan, an alumnus of many Rink Exchange programs and the son of current RHL player Mike Duggan, is actively involved with Ice Hockey In Harlem as a member of their Young Professionals Board.
