Before you skate

  • No waiver needed: Public Skate doesn’t require a waiver. Posted signs at the rink explain the risks of skating.
  • Helmets: we don’t provide helmets or other protective gear, but you’re welcome to wear your own. We recommend helmets for young kids.
  • Outside food and drink aren’t allowed at public sessions. Hungry? Road Trip Cafe, inside the rink, has snacks and meals.
  • Be kind and courteous to other skaters.
  • Photos: sessions may be photographed or filmed for The Rink Exchange’s posts and promotions. If you’d rather not appear, just tell staff.
  • Hours change for holidays, events and the seasons. Check before you come.

Getting here and getting around

Accessible parking is available at the rink. A ramp leads to the front door, which opens into the lobby and viewing area. The rink has accessible restrooms. Ice level is accessible, but the route in our older building can be challenging, so call ahead and we’ll help you plan your visit. The second floor houses staff offices and isn’t open to the public. Need an accommodation? Call 541-225-5123 or email info@therinkexchange.com.
